Louisville, Kansas City meet for second time

Kansas City will host Racing Louisville as the two sides meet for the second time this regular season. Louisville enter Wednesday fresh off the club’s Women’s Cup championship. Racing Louisville took down Bayern Munich in the inaugural international tournament over the weekend. They will try to keep their offense going after impressive goals from Ebony Salmon and Yuki Nagasato during the Women’s Cup.

Thorns get back to business

The Portland Thorns will host Gotham FC at Providence Park as the two 2021 Challenge Cup finalists meet for the third and final time this regular season. The Thorns are coming off their second championship win in 2021 as they took home the Women’s International Champions Cup title over the weekend.

Portland previously won the 2021 Challenge Cup, defeating Gotham FC on penalties, and currently hold a winning record against Gotham this season in the regular season with one win and a draw. Gotham FC are looking to get back in the win column after they squandered a two-goal lead and lost 3-2 to OL Reign last week. Veteran Carli Lloyd could provide an added boost to the offense and connect with forward Ifeoma Onumonu, who has been a key figure in Gotham’s attack.
