Champions League picks for Ludogorets vs. Malmo

Before you tune in to Tuesday’s Champions League qualifier, you need to see the UEFA Champions League picks from European soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated over $36,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

For Malmo vs. Ludogorets, Green is predicting both teams to score at -143. Malmo showed it has no problems finding the back of the net with two goals in the first leg, and it then followed that up by netting three goals in last Saturday’s Allsvenskan contest. After leading the Allsvenskan in scoring last season, Malmo has an even greater margin in goals this year and sits atop the Swedish league.

Whether win, lose or draw, Malmo’s scoring prowess has been on display all season. It has played in 14 domestic and European games this year and scored in 13 of them. Going back to last season, Malmo has scored in 26 of its last 27 games. Green also acknowledges that the Allsvenskan starting its season in the spring has likely allowed Malmo to enter the Champions League with better form than those teams in domestic leagues with later starts.

“It may have benefited from greater match fitness than its opponents,” Green told SportsLine. “We are now past the halfway point of the Swedish league season. Malmö holds a narrow league over Djurgården at the top of the table after beating Degerfors 3-0 at the weekend, whereas the season is only just beginning in Scotland and Bulgaria.”
