Tom Brady made quick exit from press conference after question about coaching

Tom Brady was visibly frustrated following a 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening.

While Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians always has been quick to criticize Brady following a loss this season, the veteran quarterback refused to place any blame on the coaching staff.

ESPN’s Jenna Laine asked Brady about the coaching after his former teammate, Rob Ninkovich, said earlier in the week that the QB needs a new coach to be more successful. Brady answered her question, reiterating that the Buccaneers organization has been great, before exiting quickly.

“It’s just external noise that when you are losing, that’s what you deal with,” Brady said, per “I love playing with the guys that I play with, the coaches, the whole organization has been unbelievable. I think I have to go out and certainly do a better job the last four weeks of the year. So, I appreciate it. Let’s have a good week.”

After losing to the Chiefs, Brady and the Bucs are 7-5 on the season and essentially have no chance to steal the NFC South crown from the New Orleans Saints, who are 9-2 and have won their last two games without Drew Brees.

The Buccaneers now enter their bye week with a lot to figure out. While they should earn a wild-card spot, it’s hard to envision Tampa Bay taking down any of the NFC’s top teams en route to the Super Bowl this season.
