NBA DFS: Reggie Jackson and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for June 8, 2021

The Utah Jazz have some clear edges vs. the Los Angeles Clippers as Game 1 of their series tips off Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET. Utah is well-rested, playing at home and facing a Clippers team coming off a grueling seven-game series. The Jazz are 4-0 in the 2021 NBA Playoffs with Donovan Mitchell in the lineup and the Louisville product has averaged 33.5 points over his last 11 postseason games. With Jordan Clarkson off the bench and Rudy Gobert being a double-double machine, Utah is loaded with potential top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday’s action.

Can Mitchell continue his scoring spree against two-time Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard and give you a great return on investment for your NBA DFS lineups? Or, should you make Gobert and Clarkson one of your NBA DFS stacks for Tuesday? Before locking in any NBA daily Fantasy basketball lineups for Tuesday’s NBA DFS action, be sure to see the core lineup selections, player pool and NBA DFS strategy from Mike McClure, a DFS pro who has won almost $2 million

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

And on Monday, McClure included Nets guard Kyrie Irving as one of his top picks. The result: Irving posted 22 points, six assists and five rebounds to return over 4x value on both DraftKings and on FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Tuesday, June 8 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, June 8

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday is Clippers guard Reggie Jackson at $5,400 on DraftKings and $4,800 on FanDuel. Jackson started the last five games of his team’s series versus Dallas and averaged 18.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists over that stretch. Patrick Beverley was removed from the Clippers’ rotation, opening more playing time for Jackson, and that could be a strategy that coach Tyronn Lue uses going forward.

With Utah having a great rim protector in Gobert, look for the Clippers to remain perimeter-oriented with smaller lineups. That should allow Jackson to stay on the floor more and he gets an added bonus on Tuesday in that Mike Conley (hamstring) is questionable. The former All-Defensive guard will be limited at the very least and Jackson is the Clippers’ guard best situated to take advantage of his immobility on defense. Jackson posted 15 points, five assists and four rebounds the last time he played Utah without Conley and could see a similar stat line on Tuesday.

Part of McClure’s NBA DFS strategy for Tuesday includes rostering 76ers guard Seth Curry at $5,200 on DraftKings and $5,000 on FanDuel. The younger Curry has taken his game to another level in the postseason with an average of 16.7 points per game, marking an increase of more than four points over his regular-season average.

With Joel Embiid (knee) playing hurt and Ben Simmons struggling with his shot, Curry has become more of a focal point for the Sixers. He posted 21 points, four rebounds and three assists in Game 1 versus the Hawks which followed a 30-point performance in the previous game.

Curry’s value rises any time he shares the court with Embiid as defenses collapse on the big man. His ability to stretch the defense is why McClure is so high on him for Game 2.
