NBA DFS: Paul George and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for April 13, 2021

The Celtics have struggled compared to years prior, but that is to no fault of their two young stars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Both were named All-Stars and each is averaging at least 24.0 points per game, making them among the best NBA DFS stacks in the league. The Celtics duo will face off with another prolific scoring twosome in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum as the Portland Trail Blazers welcome the Celtics on Tuesday evening.

Tuesday’s matchup is appealing for Tatum and Brown as the Blazers have a bottom-five scoring defense and a shootout could take place in Portland. But what other NBA DFS picks are out there during Tuesday’s seven-game NBA slate, and what kind of NBA DFS strategy should you employ when filling out your lineups? Before locking in any NBA DFS lineups for Tuesday’s action, be sure to see the NBA DFS advice, player rankings and top daily Fantasy basketball lineups from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

And on Monday, McClure included Warriors guard Stephen Curry in his core lineup picks. The result: Curry exploded for 53 points, six rebounds and four assists, producing a staggering 69 points on DraftKings. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Tuesday, April 13 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, April 13

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for his Tuesday NBA daily Fantasy lineups is Clippers forward Paul George for $8,700 on DraftKings and $9,000 on FanDuel. George is averaging 23 points per game this season while shooting career-highs from both the field and from 3-point range. He is also contributing 6.2 rebounds and a career-high of 5.4 assists per game in his second year with the Clippers.

George is amid the best stretch of his season as he’s posted 32, 33 and 36 points over his last three contests. This is the first time he’s had three straight games with at least 30 points since donning a Clippers uniform two years ago. George will be given every opportunity to pile up the points on Tuesday as the Clippers will be down three starters in Kawhi Leonard (foot), Serge Ibaka (back) and Patrick Beverley (hand). McClure loves the situation that George is in tonight, making him a strong NBA DFS pick vs. his former team in the Pacers.

Part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy also includes rostering Thunder forward Darius Bazley at $5,500 on DraftKings and $5,800 on FanDuel. Bazley missed over a month of action due to a shoulder injury but returned on Saturday against the 76ers. The second-year player showed no rust by posting 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while shooting 58.3 percent from the field.

Bazley played 36 minutes in that game and should see similar playing time Tuesday as the Thunder are without seven players. That includes the team’s two leading scorers in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (foot) and Al Horford, who has been shut down for the rest of the season. Bazley has shown the ability to perform when given more playing time as in the seven games in which he’s played at least 34 minutes, he is averaging 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
