2020 NBA Christmas Day odds, picks, best bets from a proven model: This five-way parlay would pay over 20-1

The 2020-21 NBA season is off to a thrilling start with buzzer-beaters, superstar performances and several talented young stars continuing their progression. After everybody got a day off on Christmas Eve, the NBA will bring five games to the masses on Christmas Day to offer up some holiday entertainment. The 2020 Christmas Day NBA schedule begins with Heat vs. Pelicans at noon ET and ends with Clippers vs. Nuggets in a 10:30 p.m. ET.

In between, we’ll also be treated to Bucks vs. Warriors, Nets vs. Celtics and Lakers vs. Mavericks for what should be an exciting day for both casual fans and NBA bettors alike. Milwaukee (-10) is the day’s biggest favorite in the latest Christmas Day NBA odds from William Hill Sportsbook, but five games means that you’ll have plenty of opportunities to hunt for value as you put together your NBA Christmas Day bets. Before you make any 2020 NBA Christmas Day picks or parlays, you need to see what SportsLine’s advanced computer model has to say.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times, and it returned over $5,000 in profit on its top-rated NBA picks last season. The model is up nearly $8,100 over the past two seasons. Last year, it went a stunning 61-33 on top-rated picks against the spread, returning almost $2,500 on those selections alone. Anybody who has followed it has seen huge returns.

Now, it has set its sights on Friday’s Christmas Day NBA action and revealed its best bets. If you parlay its picks, you could be looking at payout of over 20-1. You can only see them here.

Top NBA Christmas Day picks

One part of the five-way parlay we’ll give away: The model is backing the Clippers to cover as 2.5-point favorites on the road against the Nuggets to end Friday night. After watching their Staples Center roommates win the NBA Championship just over two months ago, the Clippers fired Doc Rivers and brought in Tyronn Lue as coach, while making some other significant changes to the role players surrounding Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The initial results look promising after the Clippers defeated the Lakers 116-109 on NBA Opening Night. George and Leonard combined for 59 points and the Clippers had a total of six players score in double-figures, and defensively they forced 19 Lakers turnovers.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets were heartbroken by the Kings in overtime on Wednesday when Buddy Hield’s tip-in at the buzzer gave Sacramento the 124-122 win. Denver was a 7.5-point favorite in that loss and a tough night from the 3-point line (27.6 percent) ultimately did them in.

Against a Clippers defense that limited the Lakers to 31.0 percent from beyond the arc on opening night, things aren’t going to get much easier on Friday for Denver’s shooters. That’s a big reason why the model has the Clippers covering the spread in nearly 60 percent of its simulations.
