Red Rocks Amphitheatre Set to Reopen at Limited Capacity for 80th Anniversary

“The staff and crew at Red Rocks Amphitheatre could not be more excited to be welcoming fans and our musical guests to the venue in late April,” Brian Kitts, a spokesperson for Red Rocks, tells Billboard. “Red Rocks will be opening at an early season capacity of 2,500 fans. We hope that if Covid-related numbers improve, this capacity will rise as we get through the summer. As Red Rocks celebrates its 80th anniversary, we all recognize the tremendous losses this past year has inflicted on our industry, our artists and our fans. It is with sincere feelings of gratitude, hope and excitement that we’re seeing the return of fans and music to nights this summer at Red Rocks.”

The COVID guidelines page for the venue also states: “Please know that conditions and capacities may update throughout the season based on guidance from City and State authorities and fans should be aware of changes that may affect this experience.” The site adds, “The 2021 schedule may still be subject to change depending on artist availability, tour schedules and COVID-related conditions,” and fans are encouraged to keep an eye on venue socials for all updates.

Heading into summer, fans can expect shows from The Revivalists, Barenaked Ladies, Chicago, Dirty Heads, The Avett Brothers, Goo Goo Dolls, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit and more. Head here for a full schedule.
