“Volví,” a midnight release on Aug. 3, was teased by both Bad Bunny and Aventura’s Romeo Santos on their Instagram accounts just hours before. The pair has since performed the song live for the first time on Saturday night (Aug. 14) at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami; the group’s first sold out date of its Inmortal stadium tour.
“Volví” grants Aventura its first No. 1 on the all-metric tally since the nine-week leader “Dile Al Amor” in 2010. Previously, the Dominicans led with “Por Un Segundo” (two weeks atop in 2009). Bad Bunny, meanwhile, captures his ninth No. 1, a lead following his first 2021 win: “Yonaguni,” which remained atop Hot Latin Songs for five weeks starting the June 19-dated tally.
“Volví” also reigns thanks to a lift on radio airplay: it pushes 50-31 with 3 million audience impressions (up 33%).
Elsewhere on the charts, the track lands two rankings below Billboard’s Hot 100 top 20 as it climbs 37-22 in its second week. It’s Aventura’s best career entry, trailing “Inmortal’s” No. 95 peak (2019).
Beyond its Hot Latin Songs coronation, “Volví” gains territory on both Billboard Global surveys: It surges 27-11 on the Global 200 chart and 41-17 on the Global, Excl. U.S. tally. As it debuted on both charts last week (Aug. 14-dated list), it earned Aventura its first Global entry after the lists launched September 2020. Bad Bunny secured his 24th career entry.
