1. Karol G traveled all across Colombia by bus to play shows at local clubs and schools.

2. She’s more meticulous than a perfectionist, expressing that she likes to be involved in all of the production and strategy meetings.

3. Since she was born on Feb. 14 (St. Valentine’s Day), Karol G admits that she “cries for everything” and “takes things very personally.”

4. Her family has been very supportive of her music career because, otherwise, she would have felt insecure.

5. Her father, “Papa G,” was her manager for 10 years. At the same time, Karol G was her own assistant and booked her own shows.

6. She began her music career at the age of 14.

7. For Karol G, dealing with trolls on social media has become a “lifelong learning.”

8. Her Nicki Minaj-assisted hit “Tusa” was originally going to be called “El Buzon” (The Mailbox).

9. Karol confessed that she fell into a depression when the COVID-19 lockdown hit and that she feared that she would become a one-hit-wonder after “Tusa.”

10. After not wanting to work on new music, Karol hit the studio with Lenny Tavarez and Justin Quiles, and together, they created her following hit, “Bichota.”
