MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy, advice for September 7, 2021

The Cubs are all but out the playoff picture, but they’ve made some waves recently as they’re riding a seven-game winning streak. To push it to eight, they will have to get past the RedsWade Miley who is one of the frontrunners for the NL Cy Young award. Chicago may have dealt away some of its best players, but it still has some regulars who should factor into MLB DFS lineups including Jason Heyward, Willson Contreras and the free-swinging rookie, Frank Schwindel.

Schwindel already has 10 home runs in just 33 games with Chicago, so he’s been one of the best value MLB DFS picks since joining the Cubs off waivers in July. But Miley has a 2.74 ERA against the Cubs this year, so you’ll need a well thought out MLB DFS strategy to decide if Schwindel or any other Cubs are worth rostering on Tuesday. So, before settling on any MLB DFS lineups, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Monday, McClure recommended Mets first baseman Pete Alonso as one of his top MLB DFS picks. The result: Alonso went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, which returned 19 points on DraftKings and 25.2 points on FanDuel. Those that included him in their lineup were well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 MLB season rolling on, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks for Tuesday. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for September 7, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Tuesday is Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts at $4,000 on FanDuel and $5,500 on DraftKings. Betts has battled various injuries this year, but the 2018 AL MVP has still hit 19 home runs with 47 RBI across 98 games.

Betts is swinging a hot bat just as the postseason approaches as he’s been one of the best hitters in baseball since the All-Star break. After posting a .256/.366/.472 split before the break, Betts has a .313/.405/.642 split since the Midsummer Classic. Over his last four games, Betts has reached base safely seven times, scored three runs and stolen two bases. He’s a streaking player so you can see why McClure is high on him for Tuesday’s MLB DFS lineups.

Another key name in McClure’s MLB DFS strategy is stacking Betts with second baseman Trea Turner ($4,300 on FanDuel, $4,900 on DraftKings). Turner’s 13-game hitting streak is the longest active one in the NL and he’s collected six extra base hits over the streak. He’s also scored seven runs, driven in four and swiped two bags over the last 13 games.

Turner is in a great position on Tuesday as he will be facing lefty J.A. Happ of the Cardinals. Turner has been otherworldly against southpaws with an OPS that’s 294 points higher versus them than against righties. Happ is also coming off his worst start of the season as he allowed seven runs in just one inning pitched last Wednesday, so you should confidently make Turner one of your top MLB DFS picks.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for September 7, 2021

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Tuesday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. You can only see who it is here.
