MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy, advice for September 11, 2021

With less than a month remaining in the 2021 MLB DFS season, MLB daily Fantasy players have honed in their MLB DFS strategies, and every decision is of importance at this stage of the season. Starting pitching is always critical and the MLB DFS player pool is loaded with high-quality options on Saturday. Luis Garcia, Dylan Cease and Walker Buehler all average more than a strikeout per inning and that upside is exactly why they could be worth their hefty prices.

But you can also save a few thousand bucks in cap space to spend elsewhere in your MLB DFS lineups with mid-range options like Charlie Morton and Chris Paddack. That cap space could free you up to go after studs like Salvador Perez, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Fernando Tatis Jr. Before making your MLB DFS picks be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Friday, McClure had Brewers third baseman Eduardo Escobar in his MLB DFS player pool. The result: Escobar went 2-for-5 with two home runs to produce 37.4 points on FanDuel and 28 points on DraftKings. Those that included him in their lineup were well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 MLB season rolling on, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks for Saturday. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for September 11, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Saturday is Astros third baseman Alex Bregman at $3,200 on FanDuel and $4,100 on DraftKings. Bregman enters Saturday on a 10-game hitting streak where he’s hitting .432 and in the last five games alone he’s driven in nine runs.

The two-time MLB all-star is now slashing .297/.375/.457 on the season and he’ll have a juicy matchup against Angels left-hander Jose Suarez on Saturday. Bregman has a .943 OPS against left-handed pitching this season and a 1.000 career OPS against lefties that is 150 points better than he’s been against right-handed pitching.

Also key to McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy is White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez ($3,500 on FanDuel, $3,800 on DraftKings). After missing the first four months of the season, Jimenez has provided the White Sox with a huge boost in the middle of the lineup and has taken after teammate Jose Abreu in terms of run production.

Jimenez has eight home runs and has driven in 30 in just 36 games. Jimenez has has a career-low strikeout rate of 22.5 percent and a career-high walk rate of 7.3 percent and that more mature approach should eventually pay dividends considering that his BABIP is 41 points lower than it was in his Silver Slugger season in 2020. He’s slashing a respectable .268/.325/.486 and it’s reasonable to expect the power to show itself over the final month and that’s a great reason to get him in your MLB DFS lineups.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for September 11, 2021
