MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy, advice for July 30, 2021

The Yankees have been one of the most active teams approaching Friday’s MLB trade deadline with the team acquiring sluggers Joey Gallo and Anthony Rizzo. The two lefties will add some balance to a righthanded-heavy lineup and both are also Gold Glove winners. While it’s unknown if they’ll get their pinstripes fitted in time to be in Friday’s MLB DFS lineups, Aaron Judge is sure to be slotted towards the top of the order against the Marlins. Judge leads the Yankees in most statistical categories and is a top option amongst the MLB DFS player pool.

But which other Yankees should factor into your MLB DFS strategy as the team looks to get the best of rookie pitcher Zach Thompson (2-3, 2.45 ERA)? And who else around the league could steal some attention away from today’s trades by returning great value for your MLB DFS lineups? Before locking in any MLB DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Thursday, McClure included Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario as one of his top picks. The result: Candelario went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI to return 16 points on DraftKings and 18.5 points on FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for July 30, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Friday is Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at $6,000 on DraftKings and $4,500 on FanDuel. Guerrero has a shot at winning the AL Triple Crown as he leads the league in both batting average (.328) and RBI (83) while ranking second in home runs (33).

Guerrero’s 33rd blast came on Thursday as he went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. He enters Friday on a modest six-game hit streak with nine hits over this stretch. The second-generation star has to be looking forward to his team’s three-game series vs. the Royals as Guerrero has a .385/.467/.923 split in four games against Kansas City this year. While the trade deadline is keeping many key players out of lineups, there’s no chance that Guerrero will be moved so you can confidently roster him in Friday’s MLB DFS lineups.

Part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes stacking Guerrero with outfielder George Springer ($5,200 on DraftKings, $4,200 on FanDuel). Springer has been swinging a hot bat as of late as he’s batting .333 with eight extra-base hits over his last 10 games.

Due to an early-season injury, Springer has played in just 32 games this season but he’s already hit nine home runs which projects to 46 homers over a 162-game season. He’s homered in 6.6 percent of his plate appearances which is the second-highest mark of his career and Springer has to be salivating over tonight’s matchup versus Daniel Lynch. The Royals rookie has an unsightly 7.88 ERA across four starts and has allowed a .356 batting average to right-handed hitters like Springer.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for July 30, 2021

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Friday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. You can only see who it is here.
