MLB DFS: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy for April 26, 2021

With 10 games on Monday’s prime-time MLB DFS slate, there is plenty of talent stocking the MLB DFS player pool. Among the potential MLB DFS picks to consider is Angels outfielder Mike Trout, who second in MLB with a .393 batting average, six home runs and 12 RBIs heading into an 8:05 p.m. ET road game against the Texas Rangers. Two of the hottest pitchers in the game face off in Milwaukee, as Brewers right-hander Corbin Burnes (2-1, 0.37 ERA) faces Miami Marlins lefty Trevor Rogers (2-1, 1.64 ERA) at 7:40 p.m. ET.

Is Trout, who will cost $6,300 on DraftKings and $4,500 on FanDuel, in line for a big night against the Rangers? And are either Burnes or Rogers smart choices to anchor your MLB daily Fantasy lineups? Before setting any MLB DFS lineups for Monday’s action, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Sunday, McClure had Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff as a core pitcher on both sites. The result: Woodruff pitched six scoreless innings and struck out eight to earn a victory and rack up 52 points on FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for April 26, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Monday is Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres at $4,600 on DraftKings and $2,500 on FanDuel. The 24-year-old Venezuelan is hitting .213 with two RBIs so far this season. Torres went 1-for-3 with a run scores against Cleveland on Sunday.

Yes, Torres has hit just three home runs in the 62 games since smacking 38 homers in 2019. But that means he is more than capable of a power surge at any moment. The Yankees begin a series at Baltimore on Monday against right-hander Matt Harvey, who is 0-1 with a 5.59 home ERA this season. Torres also hits righties well, averaging .270 with 44 of his 65 career home runs coming against right-handers.

Part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy Monday includes rostering Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman at $6,000 on DraftKings and $3,900 on FanDuel. Freeman is hitting .205 with five home runs and 10 RBIs so far this season. That includes three of his five homers and eight RBIs at home in 2021.

Freeman likes seeing the Cubs come to town, as he has doubled, homered and scored three runs in three games so far against Chicago this season. Freeman also torches right-handers like Chicago starter Zach Davies to the tune of a .307 career batting average with 186 home rums and 632 RBIs. Davies has also struggled this season, going 1-2 with an 8.80 ERA, so McClure loves the mismatch Monday in all MLB DFS matchups.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for April 26, 2021
