Second lockdown brings second jigsaw pack from Ian Macleod’s Glengoyne Scotch

Ian Macleod Distillers has expanded the jigsaw puzzle concept in the UK for its Glengoyne single malt with a second pack launching at the same time as the country enters a second lockdown.

As well as the jigsaw puzzle gift pack, Glengoyne has launched a three-bottle ‘Time Capsule’ set for Christmas

Positioned as a Christmas gift option, the second jigsaw, which follows April’s initial activation, comes in a GBP109.99 (US$144) pack with the 18-year-old iteration of the Scotch whisky. Available from this week, ‘Heavy Snow at Glengoyne Distillery’ comprises 500 pieces and is free with every purchase of Glengoyne 18 in the country’s off-premise as well as online.

Consumers can also get their hands on the puzzle when they purchase any bottle costing more than GBP100 from Glengoyne’s portfolio at the brand’s official website.

England was put into its latest lockdown yesterday for four weeks, with the public being strongly advised to stay at home as much as possible.

At the same time, Ian Macleod has lined up two three-bottle gift packs, again aimed at the gift-purchasing market. ‘Time Capsule’, which comes in 5cl or 20cl bottle sizes, features Glengoyne 12 and 18 alongside the second in the brand’s ‘Legacy Series’, which launched last month.

The gift sets, which retail at GBP25 for the 5cls and GBP65 for the 20cls, are also available in the off-premise and online.

Two months ago, Ian Macleod introduced a pack refresh across the whole Glengoyne portfolio. The new look eschews plastic and magnets and is now 100% recyclable.
