North America sees hiring boom in drinks industry cybersecurity roles

North America extended its dominance for cybersecurity hiring among drinks manufacturers in the three months ending April, data suggests.

The number of roles in North America made up 56% of the cybersecurity jobs being advertised – up from 35% in the same quarter last year, GlobalData said.

GlobalData tracks the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically. The data and analytics group, Just Drinks’ parent company, seeks to group key company information by topic to see which companies are best placed to weather the disruptions coming to their industries.

By tracking the themes across job advertisements, GlobalData says it can see which companies are leading the way on specific issues and which are dragging their heels – and importantly where the market is expanding and contracting.

Which countries are seeing the most growth for cybersecurity job ads in the drinks industry?

The fastest-growing country was the US, which was home to 29.6% of all cybersecurity job adverts in the three months ending April 2021, a figure that increased to 53.4% in the three months ending April this year.

That was followed by Poland (up 6.6 percentage points) and India (1.6 points higher).

Which locations are the biggest hubs for cybersecurity workers in the drinks industry?

Some 22.1% of all drinks industry cybersecurity roles were advertised in Holiday in the US in the three months ending April.

That was followed by Central (United States) with 8.5%, Poznan (Poland) with 5.9%, and Hyderabad (India) with 5%.
