Beverage companies retain robotics interest in August – data – Just Drinks

The proportion of drinks manufacturing and supply companies hiring for robotics-related positions in August held steady on the same month a year earlier, according to recent data.

Analysis by GlobalData reveals that 23.3% of the beverage companies included in its research recruited for at least one robotics-related vacancy in August, compared to 24% a year ago. For the month of July 2021, the proportion totalled 26.7%.



Of the total number of vacancies posted by beverage companies in August, 0.3% were linked to robotics. This represented a very slight dip on the 0.4% proportion in the same month in 2020.


The data analysis shows that drinks manufacturing and supply companies are currently hiring for robotics jobs at a lower rate compared to the average for all companies within GlobalData’s job analytics database. The average among all companies in August stood at 0.4%.

Robotics is one of the topics that GlobalData has identified as a key disruptive force facing companies in the coming years. Companies that invest in such areas now are expected to be better prepared for the future business landscape and better equipped to survive unforeseen challenges.
