Beam Suntory has signed another distribution deal, this time in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The Jim Beam owner, which this week confirmed to just-drinks it will partner with Anheuser-Busch InBev in Brazil, has added to its existing distribution arrangement in Belgium and Luxemburg with Alcobrands.
Beam Suntory already distributes its products in the two countries through Alcobrands, however the new agreement expands the two-year partnership. In addition to its existing Beam Suntory portfolio, which includes Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Larios, Sipsmith, Courvoisier, Teacher’s, Laphroaig, Haku, Toki, Knob Creek and Basil Hayden, Alcobrands will also take responsibility for Bowmore, Auchentoshan, Ardmore, Glen Garioch, Connemara, Kilbeggan, Tyrconnell, Yamazaki and Hibiki. In Belgium and Luxemburg, these brands are currently distributed by Belgian company Cinoco.
Wout Wolters, Beam Suntory’s commercial manager for Benelux, said: “We are very pleased to build upon our already fruitful relationship with Alcobrands with this new agreement. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the team at Cinoco, who have been a tremendous partner and have played a pivotal role in the growth of our brands in Belgium since 1996.”
Alcobrands MD Dirk Boeckx added: “We are thrilled to be renewing our partnership with Beam Suntory and expanding our responsibility for their portfolio.”
