Angus Dundee Distillers has added another expression to its Tomintoul Scotch whisky brand’s portfolio.
Tomintoul Cigar Malt is a no-age-statement single malt comprising a combination of single malts from selected vintages. All of the single malts, including a peated version, have been either aged or finished in Oloroso Sherry butts sourced from the Andalucia region of Spain.
The iteration has launched in the UK and Europe ahead of a roll-out to the US.
“I am incredibly proud to release this new expression of Tomintoul, as I personally selected the range of Tomintoul single malts that make up this extremely complex and unique whisky,” said master distiller Robert Fleming. “The Tomintoul Cigar Malt has the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, with a rich, smoky background.”
The Tomintoul distillery is located in Speyside within the Cairngorms National Park.
